“Spring Haze” is a beautiful springtime macro shot of red bud blossoms. The cotton candy pink color of the blossoms pops against the pale blue-green sky. Their seat of dark gray branches contrasts heavily to the pale pastels of the flowers and sky. The details of some blossoms show their cupped appearance, almost like a slipper that one could wear in dreams, weightless and cloud-like. There are many individual blossoms that cluster together into prominent groupings, which are held together by a seemingly tenuous clump of dark sooty bumps that jut out from the end of a twig and morph into threads of pink that connect to each flower.
