“Blue Iris” is a macro shot of an iris in full bloom. It is the main focal point in the picture, the thick stem protruding from somewhere beneath. At prominent points along the stem, buds are trying to burst forth from their thin casings and bloom into another full beautiful blossom like the one perched at the summit. The veins of the iris are visible, as well as the ribs that hold the petals in their perfect form. The colors of the petals are a pale to medium blue hue, and sunlight dapples on them playfully.
